I had quit writing in January and thought I was through with fiction for a while. Suddenly Diamond woke up and nudged me into 3000 words. I decided to take off for a road trip. It has been several years since I did that and am getting no younger. Plan to visit some of my favorite places on the Pacific Coast, redwood forests, the Sierras, the Rockies and Taos as well as a few places I've never been. I should come away with a lot of scenery for Diamond to operate through. Plus, I usually write copiously when I travel. The last trip to Reno I averaged 4000 words a day.

I am doing a little desultory marketing of my nonfiction book. I have bought a different immersion course in French and am pointing towards another couple of months in Quebec this summer.

I have been refocusing for the last month. My energy has been spent on researching a nonfiction book on how to publish ebooks. I have made a decision to change the Qua Nie series into an alternative history series and am doing research about the specific changes I want to impose on 1850 to 1860 in America.  May take a few months as I will probably travel in some of the stares where the Iroquois Confederation were moved to.

I am in the process of re-organizing my three webistes. the deweydempsey site will be the primary site for my Author persona. The obsidaineagle site will revert to its original design as a coyote blog and meditations on the ineffable. This site will focus on coaching and workshops. My primary offerings for the first half of 2012 will be on creative writing and ebook publishing.

My business plan does not include writing any more in the Diamond Series. The Qua Nie series is slated for research only. I am currently working on two contemporary fiction works in a new genre and one nonfiction book on Ebook writing and publishing.

I plan to spend the balance of this year setting up a new marketing campaign and then move back to writing.

I have just completed and published Diamond and the Shape Shifting Mayans on Kindle, Nook and iTunes. I will turn 70 on Friday. During the last year i have published five novels and a major revision of two of my short stories.  I also took two months out to go to Quebec.

A friend helped me design a new Ebusiness card. I plan to activate those activities in November, as soon as I complete the next tow books.  Let me know what you think of the card.
